Developmental basis of evolutionary change symposium.

This symposium is entirely graduate student organized, and has been held every other year since 1999. The meeting provides a valuable forum for exchange of ideas at the cutting edge of developmental evolutionary studies. In 2005 the meeting will be held from October 20th-23rd. There will be sessions on: sensation and sensory networks, genetic regulation, ecology and evolution, and history and philosophy. Speakers will include Peter Holland, Naomi Pierce, Walter Gehring, Michael Richardson, Margaret McFall-Ngai and Fred Nijhout. |

Natural History Seminars.

An informal seminar series covering topics relevant to ecology, evolution and behavior. Graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and speakers from local institutions are particularly encouraged to present their research, whether complete or in the developing stages. Seminars are held Tuesdays at noon , BSLC 202. |

This series covers topics in molecular evolution, population genetics, quantitative genetics, animal behavior, plant and animal ecology, evolutionary theory, systematics, and related subjects. Seminars are held Mondays at 4pm in BSLC 008. |
